The Oxygen Makers

Come December of every year and most of us start working upon what we will do next year. We set our goals, make plans and do so much more to be better than last year.

Most of us think about only about ourselves while drafting new year’s resolutions.

The world we live in is our only home and like our personal home, which we build up with our blood and sweat, this big home of our homes also demand same level of care and nourishment.

So how about adding another resolution in your list about planting a tree this year?

Believe me, this is the best way we can give something back to this planet, our only home in this big universe. There no other place like Earth within our reach right now, so doing whatever we can to help not only ourselves but also our future generations, is something really special.

Plant a tree this year. It could be any tree, of any size. Plant it in your garden, inside your home, wherever you like. This is best thing we can do for our home.

This is a great idea but I shall refrain from it: my place has a big garden divided into different gardens: vegetable, flower, herb, orchard, etc. I think it is enough. But some years ago, there was a strong and destructive tempest all over France and some places were devastated. It was the last week of 1999. My parents gave money to several foundations to plant trees in the devastated areas. And when my financial situation is consolidated, this is something I intend to do again where it is necessary on this planet. Meanwhile, I shall add to the flower and the herb gardens this year – a very small contribution!!!
