What I like most about my city, Karachi?

The Karachi walla recently visited an antique market and captured the essence of a long gone era.

A definite treasure trove. A walk down the memory lane. A refuge for memorabilia. In the heart of Saddar lies a market which sells nostalgia, that too in abundance. The Karachi walla went there to β¦

Poking around the city is not an issue for a local but for a foreigner, it is a different story.

It might interest you to know there are some such shops clustered in a particular area in South Mumbai, plus we have something called Chor Bazaar where you’d find other small shops selling antiques (not all of them genuine!).

Good to get to know more about each other’s cities in this way! Somebody else from Karachi had put up a shot of a large, Raj era market (Empress Market, is it?) and I could have sworn it was Crawford Market in Bombay!

Yes, Empress Market it is. Before partition, and still today, it is one of the busiest market here. I shared a link about it few months ago:
