Our Wonderful World

Louis Armstrong’s What A Wonderful World is the only song, in my opinion, capable of describing in simplest of words what our planet is really all about.

And since we are celebrating Earth Day today, so I got this idea of showing you pictures I have taken, using the lyrics of Louis Armstrong’s classic number.

“What A Wonderful World”

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do
They’re only saying I love you

I see babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn so much more than I’ll ever know
Then I think to myself what a wonderful world

wonderful world

Then I think to myself what a wonderful world

Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Louis Armstrong!

What a lovely collection of shots Hammad and I could hear Louis’ voice singing the words … I’m a big fan of his and totally love this song!

Our world is restoring itself while we are absent and soon this will be over. Maybe same time as your fasting …

This song is one of my favorite, for being so simple but magically close to the heart. These shots I shared here are close to my heart as well.

Hopefully, the world will be back on it’s feet but I’m having this feeling that footwear will be new and so will be the path.

I think you may be right about that Hammad.

As of today we are allowed to visit other households and next Friday all restrictions other than social distancing maybe lifted … so the end is in sight after 2 months of lockdown in Australia!

Wow, this is really great. Over here though, the lockdown is extended till end of May as curve is still not flattening

Reblogged this on Blog of Hammad Rais and commented:

    What A Wonderful World!

While spending yet another day inside my home and wondering about when and how the current pandemic will make an exit from our lives, I found out via Google Doodle that today is April 22nd.

    The day of our Earth!

And I remembered a post I published back in 2017. Featuring Louis Armstrong’s classic What A Wonderful World, I shared snaps taken by me with the lyrics of the song.

So for few moments of your today, just think about how much wonderful this world of ours really is, despite what is currently happening here right now.
