Sad I’m over the slow demise of mental stability!
In the very society where I live, the gap between minds and books is wide enough to be noticed by those who love to read books.
Despite being the 6th most populous city in the world, the number of libraries in my city Karachi is very low. The conditions of many small libraries is very much fragile, thanks to the lack of government fundings and citizens interest.
The mind we possess also need nutrition but sadly, what we are feeding to it isn’t so fruitful.
Here’s another trip post by The Karachi Walla to another library in Karachi:
Sehba Akhtar Library is one of several well planned libraries honoring important literary figures. But that is past. It is in dismal condition now, just like other municipal libraries in Nazimabad, in Karachi. Present day Sehba Akhtar Library has a utility store running on its premises. It fares no better. Both library and utility store fail to attract any people.

Honestly, I totally forgot about your prompt. I was browsing that blog after a longtime and decided to share this post. I didn’t even remembered before posting that it was World Library Day. Silly of me!
Linked up to your prompt 🙂

Had people shown love to the libraries the way they show it to other things in life, the society I live in would’ve been much much different.
