An End To Remember

Gathering my last few breathes

As I finally took the fall

The cheering from across the arena

Injected a triumphant rush

Into my dying veins

But before the adrenalin

Could circulate entirely

Through my mortal self

The very protector

Of my true identity

Was removed from my face

That surging adrenalin

Suddenly faded away

And all the cheering

Diminished instantly

And I was left to face

The consequences of my sins

Which were hiding

Behind my mask
